Welcome to The Friends of Women, Environment, and Health.
We are a group of individuals brought together through our friendship with Ruth Musunu Titi-Manyaka of Cameroon, West Africa. When we learned that Ruth was working with women, orphans and families affected by AIDS we realized we could make a difference by supporting this dear friend and the women who work with her. OUR GOAL has beens to purchase a truck for Women, Environment and Health and to provide insurance and gas for the first year. We also want to provide medical supplies and educational materials to combat AIDS in Cameroon.
On September 12, 2008, we purchased the truck! It's a 2005 Dodge Dakota which is being given to us by a dealer in Ohio at cost. You can help us complete this, our first effort in support of Women, Environment, and Health, by contributing to shipping costs.
We have a shipping date! It's Halloween, 2008. The truck will ship out from Baltimore, Maryland. So it looks like it will be available in January when several of us, along with nursing students from Linfield College, will be there.
You, too, can make a difference. You can have an impact on the AIDS crisis in Africa.
Help us directly help Women, Environment, and Health of Cameroon, West Africa.
Two of our board members, Carol Hosler and Barbara Stone, will spend six weeks in Cameroon working for Women, Environment and Health in December-January. Here's the blog Carol hopes to have time to keep up. http://mycameroontrip.blogspot.com/
